I really like this guitar, Steve. I love the top purfling, where did you get that?

Ron,
The top Purfling was purchased from LMI, Part # FR15.

Thank you guys for the kind words. I am stunned by the tone. This is the fourth guitar that I have completed. I prefer the tone of my first guitar over this one - it is cedar on EI rosewood, but this is a close second. The only reason I prefer it is because I just love cedar. If I was a strummer and not a fingerstyle player, this would be my favorite.
For those of you that have not built with bubinga, you might want to think about it. Other than the fact that it is harder than concrete to sand (Tim McKnight told me that), it is easy to bend and cut, and to my ears sounds a lot lot rosewood.

I figure I might as well show the back since I talked about the bubinga.

Steve, firstly I have to say that your guitar is beautiful!

I am about a good month away from completion (delayed due to bridge problems!!)

In that time, I imagine your creation would have settled in a bit...

Could you please keep us informed as to how the guitar is, with regards to the concave top? it comforts me to know that it sounds great when played...

I read once that it doesnt matter about the "shape" of the body, it's how the intonation etc has been set up that's more important!!!
Build to the environment where the guitar will go but err on the dry side. You should try to stay on the 40-50% average but dry. Does that make sense?
This is exactly the rule I follow.

Hi Steve, love the guitar, glad it worked out O.K. for you. I was very excited to hear that the tone stunned you, I was beginning to think this one may be trouble for you, then this....wonderful! I too like the purfling, beautiful choice.

Greg
